Food & Water

Bottled drinking water will be supplied at each checkpoint and at the Race Camps. Competitors are required to fill their personal water bottles or bladders from water dispensers provided.  Each competitor must manage his/her water needs according to water distribution. Never leave a checkpoint without water - in the event of getting lost, water reserves could be vital.

Boiling water
will be provided at the race camps after the finish of each stage to allow competitors to prepare their ready-meals. Cooking utensils and cutlery will also be supplied. It is however advisable to bring along your own set of cooking utensils for convenience sake, but it is not compulsory to carry this equipment with you during each stage.

Food
Each competitor is to supply and pack their own personal Food - 10,000 Calories Minimum at Start (5 Days x 2,000 Calories). This is to be packed into 5 separate rations in a food bag and left with the Kinetic Events team upon registration at the event.

During the stages competitors are required to start out with 2,000 calories per remaining day. Every evening after the stage briefing, your personal food pack will be handed to you.
You only have to carry one day's ration with you at a time while you run.

It should be noted that due to the rural nature and remote location of the course, it will not be possible to purchase food or snacks during the race.

Do not forget to pack your emergency rations!
